Lyn, very kindly nominated me to spill 7 things about my life. Being an internet addict has its priviledges :). I then tried to think about 7 things about me... you might be able to tell that my inspiration started to wain around fact 5 :)...
To make it easier for the folk i nominate who might want to play, I've tried to put in some Qs...
Ah so cute... fascinating baby fact...
1. I was a bottom shuffler as a baby – and like their father before them so was Nathan and so is Dan. I’m sure there is nothing profound about it whatsoever.
That first beer...
2. I had my first beer when I was 16 on a school trip to spain – it tasted great with hot chips on the beach, watching the sunset.
How (not) to look cool in front of the opposite sex...
3. It was also on that school trip that I discovered a lot of European women went topless on the beach and maybe that’s why I wasn’t looking where I was going and stepped on a sea urchin, got a lot of spikes in my foot and had to hobble around for the next few days…
I'd love to change but I know I won't...
4. I’m always late, unless I make an extra effort to leave early or have Debs with me – my watch is set 7 minutes fast to help me. Sometimes I just think that gives me 7 mins more time!
What i really hate is...
5. I hate admin, tidying up, putting things away, too much organisation but I wish I was more organised and tidy – interestingly I do have levels of action, usually when my life is threatened by a landslide from the pile of clothes I’ve made…
No, honestly I am an interesting person, just check out some of my hobbies...
6. Over the years I have had a number of hobbies, bird watching (the feathered kind), kayaking, war gaming, squash, running, blogging…
What are you going to do tomorrow...
7. Tomorrow is my 32nd birthday! I'm taking the day off work, having lunch with Debs and the boys and going to a book launch in the evening!
Next...
I'm gonna nominate to play...
ROFLOL! The sea urchin made me laugh!!! My hubby and you would get on well, he's laways late too! Trouble is it's rubbing off on me now, I have my watch set 5 minutes fast! Happy Birthday for tomorrow. I turned 32 in March, it's not been a bad number so far!

I totally agree about the sea urchin story-- I was laughing so hard! And I am always late as well... I'm made fun of all the time! I have yet to try to set my clocks/watches forward-- I know I would know they were fast and it wouldn't help :-) Oh, and happy birthday tomorrow!! Have a fabulous day!

Happy birthday, young man! It's still the 5th here in California, but you're probably getting up about now in good ol' UK; celebrate great.
Thanks for the 7 items. I always love these posts. Shrinks distance across cyberspace.
Where have you kayaked? Recreational or whitewater or ocean? I'm a nut for kayaking. Bird-watcher, too (longer than you've been alive, yikes).
Hope your day is beautiful with your family & all your loved ones.

Ah so cute... fascinating baby fact...
1. My only way of communicating was by a loud, shrill cry of “mep, mep, mep.”
That first beer...
2. Never had one. I’m a member of The Salvation Army, who never really went through a rebellious teen stage.
How (not) to look cool in front of the opposite sex...
3....lacking in inspiration on this one
I'd love to change but I know I won't...
4. …lose weight & tone up unless I get my act together…especially at my age!
What i really hate is...
5. …getting up in the morning.
No, honestly I am an interesting person, just check out some of my hobbies...
6. …actually maybe I’m not so interesting. I play the Bass Trombone. I like to read….a lot. I very occasionally run/stagger for a mile or two, but much less than I used to. I blog – probably more than I really should do. I’m a magazine addict in recovery.
Can you have hobbies & kids?
Is drinking coffee a hobby?
What are you going to do tomorrow...
Get up, go to work, meet with my Pastor, and rehearse in a Brass Band. I told you I wasn’t interesting.

3. lost for words
I'd love to change but know I won't...
4. procrastination
What I really hate is
5. not being at least tri-lingual
No, honestly I am an interesting person, just check out some of my hobbies...
6. Interesting? Well, I'm reading French literature and philosophy, swimming, hiking, biking
What are you going to do tomorrow...
7. I live in community and we have lunch with 10-12 students and then I tutor 3 after lunch.

Just stumbled onto your blog and laughing hysterically at the sea urchin story--as a mom of 3 young men...I've seen it happen! ;)
